How can hypnotherapy help me?
Hypnosis can help you take back control of your life to gain confidence and increase motivation to stop smoking, lose weight, get rid of phobias and fears, remove unwanted bad habits, relieve signs of stress, depression, Reduce anxiety or increase sports performance. The hardest part is making the decision to change from the person you are to the person you want to be. What changes do you want to make happen in your life today?
Hypnosis has become a highly effective method to help people make positive changes to how people think, feel and behave about an issue which is holding them back in their lives. By helping you reach a relaxed state hypnotherapy can help you re-programming the subconscious part of the mind to make a permanent change in a healthy way without the need for surgery, medication or years of therapy.
What does hypnosis mean?
“Hypnosis” is an abbreviation of the Greek term meaning “to sleep” and is a different state of consciousness between being asleep or awake. Many people compare being hypnosis to that of being in a deeply relaxed state of daydreaming.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Hypnosis is entirely safe because you are always in control and remain secure during every session. As a qualified and insured clinical hypnotherapist, I am on-hand to support and administer the best solutions to enable you to resolve issues safely within the shortest amount of time possible.
Can everybody be hypnotised?
Yes, but only if you want to be. Some people are more susceptible to hypnosis than others and can go into a deeper hypnotised state, more quickly and easier. If somebody does not want to be hypnotised then they won’t be.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Recall a time when you were so engrossed in watching a film that you were unaware of your surroundings and what was happening around you. You were so immersed and mesmerised in the film that nothing else going on around you seemed to matter and dispersed into the surroundings.
Can only weak-willed people be hypnotised?
Hypnotherapy has nothing to do with inner strength or intelligence and everything to do with your ability to use your imagination and have a deep desire to change something in your life. Without the desire to change, you won’t. Being hypnotised has nothing to do with your intelligence.
How many sessions of hypnotherapy will I need?
Without sitting down and chatting with you this is really dependent on your own circumstances. As you’d expect somebody coming for help to manage anxiety or depression would require considerably more sessions than somebody who wanted to stop smoking.
The purpose of hypnosis is that we help you achieve your goals to stop smoking, lose weight or reduce stress within the least number of sessions possible.
Will I feel different after my hypnosis session?
Many clients report that they feel relaxed, motivated and refreshed after receiving a single dose of hypnotherapy. Since hypnosis communicates with the subconscious part of your brain to communicate suggestions for positive change not all of these changes are immediate because we are seeking to change thinking patterns that you have held onto often for many, many years.
Will hypnosis fix me?
There’s no magic wand in hypnosis. It requires the desire from you to want to change and competency of the therapist to assist you on the journey. Modern hypnotherapy has evolved to be a very effective method to achieve amazing results and work with people to provide them with the resources to cope with everyday issues or accomplish goals they want to achieve.
How many problems can the hypnotherapy sessions help me with?
During our sessions together we address one problem at a time to ensure the original issue is being dealt with effectively. For example, if a client has a fear of flying, as well as a compulsion for biting their nails, we would deal with each problem at a different time. Sometimes addressing one problem will naturally resolve another. In some cases, there is no connection and the problem must be addressed separately.
Why Do I Need Four Session? Can’t I Just Have one?
Hypnotherapy is not a magic pill. If you have had the issue for years or decades then it is unrealistic to expect “quick fix” results within only one session. If you believe that you should only require one session then Hypnotherapy is not the best therapy for you.
I have several problems, can they all be ‘fixed’ during our session?
Yes, when they are related otherwise we deal with the first presented issue during our sessions because this helps achieve better results.
When do I pay for my sessions?
If you choose to go ahead after our First Session Consultation. I will invoice you up to the first four sessions in advance. This ensures I only work with people who are committed to wanting to change.
If additional Hypnotherapy sessions are required then I invoice these separately on an ongoing basis. I am able to offer discounts only to clients who book six sessions or more.
Can I book sessions for my friend or relative?
It is important that your friend/relative is committed to wanting to change for themselves not because they feel they have to for you. If you book sessions for them then their commitment is removed. I would therefore not recommend paying for their sessions.
Why do I need to book a First Session Consultation?
This session allows you to come and visit me, talk through your issue, ask questions and assess that you feel comfortable with the process before committing for a block of sessions. Hypnotherapy is not for everybody.
